I'm New and Need a Little Help

IME, I have had problems keeping a lawnmower blenny with Kole and Tomini Tangs.

This, this, this. IME as well, Bristletooth and Kole Tangs harass Blennys (particularly Starry Blenny in my case) so much so that you will never know your Blenny exists until feeding time.

With a heavier stock load comes a heavier skimmer
Ps ive always loved yellow tangs but it comes down to YOUR preference

My cousin offered me a great deal on a 240 gallon tank and stand. Should I stick with the 75 gallon or buy the 240 gallon. I understand the bigger the tank the more expensive the equipment. Just thought I should ask before making a decision.

A 240 is a serious commitment of both money and time. For the moment, you are talking about a FOWLR setup but newbies to the hobby go one of two ways from there. They either get sick of it (even though it's a little less maintenance than a full reef) or they really catch the bug and go to a full reef setup. Either way, starting with a 240 is not a great idea.

To be honest, I'd strongly recommend sticking with the 75 and buying good quality equipment much of which could follow you if you either upgrade the existing tank to a full reef or upgrade the size. Just my two cents but I see far too many threads of people selling equipment for pennies on the dollar after six months of trying.

I am just starting out so take this for what it's worth, but no way would I move up to a 240. I started on my 75 in January and it's bad enough. Well, not bad, but big enough. I purchased all good equipment, full APEX, LifeReef, and Kessill lighting. Unless you have really deep pockets I would stay with the 75.
