I found this guy in the Internet a place called the candy shop...I'm meeting up with him sometime this week and picking up a raging waters chalice and 1 polyp of marley mauls...i can't wait

That's awesome, where is he from? I still can't imagine buying a single polyp, I definitely don't have the patience to do that. The car for the grow out looks so pathetic and lonely there, cudos to you for it though.

This is what it looks like...i don't mind having just a 1 polyp frag just not a bunch of them lol watching them grow is more appealing to me than all the pretty colors but the colors Definetlyplay a factor too lol

Did it post this time?

Wow that's nice. You mind me asking how much for each polyp? Might ask if you could get me one if it's a good price.

65 is not bad for me...i buy corals maybe once or twice a month and usually get a handful spending anywhere from 60 to 80 dollars...i know I don't know every single coral but I've never heard of these and needed some what of a prize piece in my tank...

Totally understand man. It's all about what makes you happy and smile when you look in your tank. For me I think my big hang up is knowing how slow such small frags grow. When I had my fluval it was fine cause even frags with three or four polyps looked good, like my la lakers frag with three polyps. Looked awesome in the little tank, but in my bigger tank it's just lost and I doubt I'll even notice it much for another year or more when it's at least 20-30polyps.

I don't mind the slow growing as long as I know it's going to grow and thrive...i will have a coral tank for the rest of my life...now that my rock has a nice amount of coraline algae it makes me not even mind just looking at my rocks lol I should of gotten into coral a long time ago, it's like I have a piece of the ocean in my house some pieces even look like they should be from a totally different planet

What was it like 5 - 10 years ago?

LOL prices on per heads never went over $100. I'd say 11-13 years ago a Blane Perun Purple people eater were the most expensive paly. I remember back in the days going to alameda to Steve tru for rare palys back then like a devils armor or armor of god and spending 30-40 per head. LOL

Those Marley Mauls are a cool zoa but watch out with them because they are a darth maul morph and prone to melting. I actually purchased one from Neptunes awhile back(they were calling it a rainbow maul) and it only lasted a few months before it melted on me. Plus they only charged $25pp.
