I have an all glass 40 breeder which I broke the front and side pannel. Since then I removed the top and bottom brace and the two bad pieces of glass. My plan is to replace the two pieces of glass and put a single glass center brace 3" to 4" thick across the middle. I would rather do this than buy a new tank for two reasons. First its cheaper and two I can use black silicon and without the stupid black brace it will look much better. BTW I have seen people do this with other tanks but I can't find any posts because I'm not a member and I can't search. Will this work. If you don't think it will, please tell me why.
I'm repairing my 40 breeder, will this work or is it going to fail horribly?
