Picked this guy up this summer from a guy and it didnt look like much...was kind of light pinkish but its turning redder by the day which is nice.....what is it???

Wish I knew so I could find one. I've never seen it but it's really beautiful. Do me a favor and let me know when you're going to be out so I can sneak in and snip a frag off for my tank. Really beautiful.

It reminds me of my Scripps Milli.

I have seen my milli from the same colony in others tanks and it will look like a completely different coral. Not saying that is what you have but could be a possibility.
 
Well, it is not in the millipora group, as the corallites are not touching. It has a strange growth form, as if it has not grown under the same conditions in the last year. Reminds me of A. tenuis, but the corallites are a bit too shallow in form and the axials seem too short. maybe A. verweyi, but I've never heard of it being anything but beige and pink.

Very cool coral. Congrats on snapping up a real beauty!

kolognekoral- ya on the changes. good eye. Picked it up 6 months ago....left it layingin the corner on the floor of my bb tank for a few months until it started to show this interesting color then I finally mounted it. lol
