I'm thinking of setting up a guppy tank

I was at an LFS the other day and saw they had a doz. baby feeder guppies for $2. I took a dozen home and put 1/2 in my fuge and 1/2 in my tank. I wanted to see if my trigger would respond. Holy $hit...he went nuts for 'em! Even my Bangui pair gobbled up a couple. The 6 I put in my fuge lasted for about 3 hrs before going belly up. They then went into the tank for a late night snack.
I have a spare 10 gal tank I'm thinking of setting up to try my hand at breeding for live food.
Any thoughts?
Any advice from those that have tried something similar?

Ten gallon tank, bare bottom, few small fake plants for babies to hide, sponge filter, some time = babies. IMHO, i do better with platies then with guppies. Try putting some silver mollies in your sump, 4 females and one male, and they will breed like crazy!!! They will eat the algae that grows there, and any uneaten food given to main tank. Bunker
