I'm trying to find a good local shop.

The shop I used to frequent in Bburg moved and now does not seem to have the selection it had before. The shop in Roanoke (Something's Fishy) either moved or went out of business. Are there others?

I almost did'nt respond to your post as you were looking for a "good local shop" but if you are in fact looking for a great local shop you need to check out ULTIMATE AQUARIUM at 1401 Southside Drive in Salem. Hours are 3-7 Tues - Fri and 10-6 on Sat. It will make your day. :D Michael R

Michael is right, Chris stocks some amazing stuff from dry goods to fish and corals that are hard to beat and is a nice guy to deal w/ :) his food selection is also great, not sure if you've tried the new reef nutrition foods but they are great!

Excellent!!!

Thanks guys. That's not far from my apt. I may just head on out there this evening.

Well I just got back from there. You were correct. It is a great shop and Chris and Sam are very helpful.

ADE, Reefdad, etc... You guys let me know next time Chris gets some nice Clams... I am always willing a take a ride for nice clams!!! ( just got off phone with Chris)
I may have to ride down to reefscience....

Kelpie, you would be doing yourself a dis-favor, if you don't visit Alantis aquariums in Richmond.. As far as I know, it is the best shop in Virginia..
( HOC, no cut intended)

Ok will do Charlie.
Yes UA is new but he it is hard to beat his fish prices and you can't beat the 360 gallon frag/coral table tank.
