Male Clown fish aka: Toby. Background, Tody my litte guy... has been doing well. So well, that I bought him his own nem. It was OMG dude!!!! Where have you been when I introduce a nem for him. Darn little bugger clown fish... I thought for sure he would wear out the nem. (are they alway so ruff with them?) They were both happy.... Forward to this month..... Newish 90 gallon..... Toby and his buddy are doing great. Still haven't figured out why so many people say nem's travel. I bought a rock.... think'n to myself... this would be purrfect for the nem... trimmed it a bit with a hammer to allow more light into the pocket of the rock. PRESTO! Nem does loves it. NEVER moved once I placed it there in the new tank. (I did knock on wood after all the stories I've read here about nems being travelers.)
Okay, now to date.... Toby now has a GF.... it was love at first sight... they play well all through out the tank. He goes into the Nem and she does as well during the day. But.... at night. The female claims the nem. She doesn't bite, just comes close to nosing my male clown away.... So, after watching this... I felt sorry for Toby... He's a sweet guy to let the new female have his nem.... I decided to buy another Nem on WUSIWUG... Introduce new Nem into tank... (after reading here.. BTA Nems can be close to other BTA's.... Needless to say, new nem has not move from where I placed it. (fairly close to old Nem) NOW, the problem is..... Female Clown aka: Baby Girl will not let Toby (male) sleep near either one of them. Me thinks, the female Clown now thinks both Nems are now hers.... Will this pass in time, that the two clowns will not share at night? Or, I'm I to seek another Nem to place a bit further away from the two that now lives together?
