Impossible ammonia

I personally found the Salifert test to be OK.
In general, once your tank is running for a month or two, ammonia shouldn't be a problem unless something large dies or ammonia is introduced from outside sources like refill water.

I would actually advise to get an RO system, not just for the tank, but also for drinking water. I would never drink the water that comes out of the tap here.

I actually have a water soft water filter for my drinking water, but i am thinking of investing in an RO system.
