I got this growth. Is this about average or rather slow? Any IDing would be appreciated as well

Don't have an updated one, I will post one tomorrow when I get home from work, lights are off right now, here's a somewhat recent one though

Yep, that's what I would call good growth for 3 months time. Hope you like fragging plates as those things can grow like weeds...well at least mine do. :p

Looks like your frags have settled in nicely and are on their way. You now may see some of them speed up. :D

I know I'm excited! I don't mind fragging at all, the big red one has broke on me a few times, but has grown back nicely shaped. The Idaho grape is growing quicker I think though. Hopefully I have the same success when I switch over to a 225, then I'll actually have a skimmer and my colors will probably be better.

Good job. Yeah for 3 months I think thats pretty good. Your corals look pretty nice too. I agree, keep doin what your doin.

The caps are crazy fast growers but make good for easy fragging. I still love them even though they are really easy to maintain as they add some good shadows which give the tank some good depth. I now need an Idaho grape as I have a green, orange, green w/blue polyps, and seasons greeting cap.

My other cap frags have doubled/tripled in two months but my seasons greeting cap seems to be a really slow grower. Anyone else have this?

Not trying to hijack.

I have two encrusting Montis (Holographic and Superman Monti) and they both have great growth. Some people blast them with flow but they really don't like that much. I'd say my frags of Montis are 3-4X bigger than they were when I got them.

Like I said earlier, the tank shot isn't recent, I have a superman and a red hot chili? The superman is fairly new as is the chili, so maybe they're still adjusting. With the MH I use to have the old chili I had grew fairly slow, my superman has browned out but not sure if it needs stronger lighting or less. Any suggestions?

My superman was towards the end of my tank and was not getting a lot of MH lighting. I have mine about 12-14 inches below the light and it is coloring back up nicely and has medium flow over it.

I have 760 Watts over my 75 Gallon DT (2 - 250 Watt Phoenix 14ks, 4 - 65 Watt PCs).

Browning typically means not enough light or bad water params. From the looks of your tank everything looks colorful so I'd guess you just need to place the montis somewhere else with some high lighting. I also have a sunset monti that has done well but all three of my montis are on a tonga branch that is an arch where they are rather high in the aquarium.

Here's a shot of the mother colony my hologram monti came from. Probably my favorite encrusting monti and rather rare as I don't see them often:

Unfortunately it's as high as it can go, my LEDs just don't put out strong enough light for my colors to really pop. When I get my 225 up and running I plan to do MH again so I have more options for different kelvins

I think your doing great with it really considering you've only been in hobby a year. I'm planning something like a 220 or bigger too and will most likely do MHs and T5s for actinics. Either 250/400 watt depending on the depth that I go with.

Anyways, what type of flow do you have over the encrusting montis? Where are they located in tank as I cannot spot them!

Just got home, give me aboot a half hour and I'll post a new FTS and pics of the encrusting montis.
