Good evening reef central.

I can fix your computer, I may even be of assistance with your automobile. But I have come to the painful conclusion in the past weeks that I am in no way shape or form handy. I am unable to complete plumbing tasks much less home repair. Quite sad I know.

I have recently acquired a 275 gallon tank measuring 72x30x29. Weighing in at about 743 billion pounds when empty. This tank has a front pane of glass which has separated from the sides on one side and started to on the other. Obviously this is a job that would require this to be pressed back together with new silicone in between. If you feel that you may be capable of this task and can complete it without me having to worry about flooding my rental house with 250+ gallons of water then by all means please contact me.

I can pay you in the form of U.S dollars, alcoholic beverages, trident layers. Or any combination of the three.

Thank you all.

Sounds like you should sell the glass and and buy a tank you can trust or use a company with insurance. 200plus of water is a lot when its paper thin. Esp since it even cost money to mix saltwater to have it bust.

I would consult a professional (even more professional that Johnny:p). It might be best to take it apart and rebuild the box. You sure don't want to shortcut at the beginning and regret it later. Too much sweat, tears, money...

Where are you located? I would be able to fix this for you but will need pics and also who manufacturer this aquarium? I live in las cruces, NM and have been designing and building aquariums for awhile. If interested please PM me. Thanks

TO fix this you will have to take the whole aquarium apart and re-silicone, because new silicone won't stick to old silicone so to the the best seal you'll need to disassemble it.
