I'm looking to add some lighting to my stand and don't know exactly where to go with it. I'm thinking those cut to fit LED strips will do the trick, but I'm not sure if they're bright enough to provide working light. I'm not looking for anything that will grow macro in a fuge, just something to provide enough light to see what I'm doing in there. I have these in mind, but I'm sure you guys know of something better.

and target, lowes and homedepot. I'm looking for something low profile that will evenly light the whole sump area, not spotlight a certain section. Thanks though.

Both HD and lowes have T5 or LED under cabinet lights, not as cheap as what you listed on amazon, but last I heard those you posted were not very good quality and I know a couple people that have already sent theirs back.

cheap under cabinet fluorescent light. can be had at wally world for about $10.

rope lighting...

under-car lights found at auto parts places.

It provides more than enough light for my stand which is 72x36x38. Direct the light to the top of the stand.

Good luck with your search.

I like the t5 lighting I have a 2 bulb fixture it's cheep and easy to set up however would have liked to do a led set up hd has some nice under cab led lighting but very expensive like 70 bucks maybe in future I will up grade

LED under cabinet lights may work best, you could also wire the negative to some magnetic door latches so they turn on when you open the doors. Unless you need it for fuge lighting.

Those look compact lol but how could you tell the lumens or any specs to know how bright they are I'm like a light freak when it comes to brightness just changed all my bulbs in my house to cfl and I used the maximum rating they sell for the socket so if it's rated for 120w and only uses 30 that's what goes in my 60w socket lol my only concern with ikea is what you actually get but don't get me wrong I like ikea I just need to hold it and see it before I buy it most of my furniture is ikea lol but I built it using red lock tight and wood glue prob not a good idea since can't ever take it apart for moving but at least it won't fall apart

How did you attach them to power? I saw that they are just a red and black wire, thanks

I used those peel-n-stick 12v waterproof LED strips.. kinda like these.

I put them on the inside of the stand facing towards the back, and also have them connected to a dimmer switch. You cant see them unless you stick your head inside the stand and they provide plenty of light.

Here they are at full power, but I keep them set at around 75%..

Just regular ol 12v wal wart.. think I bought two for about $10. I'll send you a link to the ones I'm using when I get home

I have a glass tank so the stand is open under the tank bottom. I just used some stick-up LED lights stuck to the bottom underside of the tank. press on, press off. I think I spent $6 for three lights.
