Increasing LPS growth?

I have a micromussa colony that I glued to a frag disk so that the polyps would have some room to spread. I feed them cyclopeeze and mysis hoping they will grow nicely and I am sure they will.

I do also have an acan colony that has just about exhausted all empty space on the rock it is on.

So...my question is, how can I increase or encourage the growth of the acan?

Should I frag it and attach the small pieces to frag disks?

Do these corals like to grow over existing rocks or would it be better just to let them build their own skeleton and spread?>

Not looking to frag and sell, just want to get good growth from these guys.

just leave them alone and feed them. most important thing is to leave them alone.
