Increasing ph by dosing kalk with peristaltic pump

I use a Calcium Reactor. My ALK and CA are very stable. My PH has been slowly going down. I'm sure it's caused by excessive CO2 saturation from the Calcium Reactor. I've increase surface turbulence, imported fresh air, added an air stone. The PH fluctuates whereby, the PH increases during the day but drops at night, as expected, due to photosynthesis using excess CO2 during the daylight hours.

I am considering adding a DOS peristaltic pump to dose minimal KALK at lights off to increase PH. I wasn't planning on using KALK as my top off. I want to dose for increased PH only. I may have to reduce the Calcium Reactor so that my CA and ALK levels don't increase too much.

I don't know how much KALK to add. I was going to add only a few ML's to see impact to PH, ALK, CA. And adjust accordingly.

Is this logic any good?

I have a 240 gallon tank. SAL: 1.025 ALK: 11.3 CA: 450 MG: 1470. Predominantly SPS. Only 2 fungia's and the rest SPS. Great PE and growth. PH fluctuates between 8.12 and 7.95. Not horrible but, was considering trying the DOSing on KALK using my Apex controller.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Adding kalk will lead to increase parameters. I would personally leave it alone, my 400 full of SPS rarely goes higher than 8, staying in 7.7 - 8.0 range and don't see any issues.

8.12 to 7.95 range i wouldn't mess with. if you have a stable system dont do anything that might throw it out of balance.

I agree that the pH shift the tank is seeing is tiny, and won't harm any animals. I'd leave well enough alone. The rule of thumb for Kalk:

Adding 1.25% of the total tank volume with saturated kalk water will boost pH by an unacceptable 0.6 to 0.7 pH units and add about 1.4 dKH.
We can work out the number for a smaller boost if you'd like to try. The aeration rate might dominate, though, by which I mean the pH effect will be very temporary as aeration brings carbon dioxide into the water too rapidly.

I run 2 skimmers on co2 scrubbers + a small one the carx effluent drops into.
When i tried kalk (170G tank) i dosed 2litres over night period & got hardly any improvement.
Now i'm dropping 1L/24hrs via Dos and stirrer to have 7.9-8.25....its really only making the high higher but not really the low.
Maybe its got to do with the skimmers already doing some good work aerating.
I got better ph lift adding skimmer than kalk, the extra skimmer lifted the low.....but it will fall back when the co2 media gets exhausted
