Inexpensive Float switches

I have been looking for an inexpensive way to make a DIY ATO system.... looking online at some float switches and I cant think of a reason why they wouldnt work. I will be running an Apex Lite system, wondering if anyone has gone with these switches vice the aquarium ATO systems....

I use the cheap ones from eBay, I just ordered 10 for $10.99 with shipping last week

I just used a 1/4" bulkhead gravity to a float valve works great no power no room for error (i hope lol)as long as you keep things clean. Total of $17.

I did the cheap eBay float switches also. Spliced it into power cord of a toms aqualifter and bent a little acrylic to hold it. Have five gallon jug sitting in the stand and I love it.

I used the kit from Aquahub . com and it worked well for me.

I have a $5 one from amazon.com paired with a Tom's Aqualifter. works fine.

just gonna add the float switch to the neutral of the aqualifter... works great
