Inflamed gill on Clownfish. Fine sand to blame?

This seemed to happen really quickly. I did not notice it yesterday. As you can see, there is a large fleshy piece sticking out of my clownfish's gill. Only on one side.

Apologies for the "spotty water" in the photo. I kicked up some fine sand when moving a coral... and now I'm wondering if this fine sand could be the cause of the gill problem. Perhaps a piece cut the gill? My hector goby and pistol shrimp kick up sand from time to time (nothing as bad as you see in the photo)

She is picking at Spirulina 20 but doesn't seem to eat much. Otherwise is active as usual.

No detectable Ammonia/Nitrate. Salinity 1.026 Temp:78
