info on conger eel

i have just aquired (saved) an eel from someone who has lost interest.

they were told it was a snowflake but upon recieving the poor creature i then discuvoured it was a common conger eel.
(they had no idea - very stupid people)

however, my problem is, i can't find much information on the little guy - in regards to caring for it.

does anyone know how big they get, how to care for them, suitability with other fish, tank size, e.t.c

any help would be appreciated.
