Inland trip moves to March, Nashville trip moves to January!

Hey folks! As you know, SEASL has organized a January trip to Inland Aquatics for the past few years. This year, we've decided to change up the program and move the Inland trip to March. We figure the weather will be better, and we've also found a great alternative trip for January!

The Middle Tennessee Reef Club has invited SEASL to attend their annual frag swap in Nashville on January 20th. This event pulled in over 200 participants last year and it sounds like a fantastic opportunity for us to meet some new people and pick up some goodies.

We will be organizing the road trip over the next couple of weeks. We're hoping to visit an LFS or two and have some tasty BBQ while we're there.

If you are interested in driving or riding, please let us know! Keep an eye on www.seasl.org and RC for additional details.

Thanks
Brad, Becky & Tom

Count me in..... Thinking about letting Fade drive, but Beapeams is concerned that the "No Shoes" policy goes for Fade's vehicle too....

Will have to have warm socks!

Um... HELLO! Did anyone see what the man did to his last vehicle?!? :D

You need to start pitching bids for a seat in the fine German-engineered McPassat. Front passenger seat is heated... :lmao:

no way....I've seen a bunch of commercials for those volkswagons and they always seem to have someone unexpectedly bashing into them every time I see one. :worried:

;)

We got 4 confirmed for the Fade vehicle.... and I think Beapeams is in for the trip too!

This will be great to be able to attend a once a year event for another club and also still do Inland Aquatics in March. What a great idea to move things around when this Nashville Event came up.

UPDATE ON NASHVILLE:

For the folks who are interested in traveling down on Friday and back on Saturday, we will help locate a nearby hotel.

Also, SEASL will host at least one 50/50 table for frags. We'll pay for and organize the table. Everything sold at the 50/50 table will be split between the seller and SEASL. You must attend the event and transport your own frags to sell at the 50/50 table. SEASL will take care of selling all the frags on the 50/50 table so everyone will be able to enjoy the swap!

If you would like to sell frags independently at this event, we can help you get a table, but you will have to front payment for the space. Full tables are $25; half tables are $15 and the tables are 8ft. You will also be responsible for manning your own table.

In order to plan for adequate selling space, please let us know if you plan to sell frags and approximately how many you intend to sell.

This is our first out-of-town swap and I'm pretty stoked about it!! :D Circle Jan 20, 2007 on your calendar with a big red marker and make sure you have some reliable wheels!

this is awesome guys, were looking very forward to seeing youre club at the swap. we also have an AWESOME lfs called the aquatic critter you should see. you wont find any tyree stags in there or anything but their fish selection is usually pretty amazing. if you guys need any ins and outs of nashville to help plan the trip dont hesitate to pm me! see you all soon<~~~steve

also becky i love the avatar, i proposed to my wife at the top of the arch last july :) also anyone that would like to catch a nice dinner after the swap we have a restaurunt in the opryland mall called the aquarium. its really top notch food and the star of the show is you are seated around a 250,000 gallon tank. they also have a 5000 gallon cylinder tank and a walkthrough arch tank full of beautiful fish. the main tank has tangs, schools of lookdowns, black tip reef sharks, a 6 foot lime green moray, rays and tons more. its would be a nice place to have some good food and catch a drink before or after the swap. if anyone is interested let me know!<~~~steve

I am in! (Wife too)
The last time I was in Nashville, it was one day before the Aquarium resturant was to open. They wouldn't even let me peek at it. I have been looking forward to a return trip!
