Inside the stand liner???

I was thinking about an insert for inside my stand. Kindof like a tub insert in which I would put it in, then my sump, etc...It would have raised edges. That way if there is a leak or something happens it wouldn't get on the floor. Any suggestions???

how big is the stand. You can buy one of those things for washing machines.
Or maybe a giant/strong plastic bag.
Or you can put a bigger tank like a 55 gallon if your sump is a 29 gallon and put it inside of the 55.
Or you can get a liner from a fish pond store and create your own.

Sorry if I am rambling. I am at parent teacher meetings right now.

Glenn used the pond liner on his. We cut it and then used a waterproof spray adhesive on the inside of the stand to stick. It does pull off if you need it off. It worked very nice.

Thanks for the offer Roy

Honestly, I'll give you a call tomm. and see when you can come over an look at what I'm dealing with. Mind???

Are you off work today? I could come by and help you install it if yoiu want. And not because of joke guilt.

It may cut down on sound considerably as well. I would have done it if it wasn't already filled with water and running when someone suggested it.

On Glenns, we figured it was 6X1.5X.5 of a rubber "trough" formed. Then 2/3 of that was taken by sump etc. sitting down there so about 10 gallons of water could leak before coming out on the floor. Now that doesn't sound like much but he's on the 3rd floor of an apt. complex. 10 gallons on the floor can get the neighbor downstairs a little upset! :eek1:

Plus it will help the stand not to have water get on it. Small leaks can saturate wood quite well. It really came out very nice and if I had equip underneath mine, I would do it too. It only took maybe 5-10 minutes to install. Justin would need to unhook the sump etc. and remove so that would take more time. Possibly a lot depending on how many unions he has on the plumbing. Great time to install some then while at it.
