Installing Lights

Im going to be staring installing my T5' in my hood in the morning....Anything I should be aware of...doI need special screws for the SLR individual parabolic reflectors??????
This is the first time for me.......Im putting 6-48"-54W T5 Blubs.....should I just center them in the hood or leavesome space between each light.?...where should I mount the IceCap 660 electronic ballast.?

I like to mount the ballast on top of the canopy or against the wall behind the canopy. this is to prevent the heat of the ballast to heat up the inside of the stand and ultimately the water

I would think it would be best to put them close together since that would give you the option to add more later if you wanted.
