installing mh lamp question

I just received my 250 watt phoenix 14k bulb and I am so excited, but I don't know which way to insert it into my pendant. Should the little glass extrusion go towards the ceiling or towards my tank? Thanks.

I think THIS is what you mean.

Personally, I would put it on the top so it didn't distort any of the light going toward the water.

Hahhahaha.... well since you brought it up. Yes, I was referring to the bulb.

It actually can only go in one way on the double ended bulbs. It won't go in backwards

Looking back it was kind of a stupid question, but oh well it won't be the last stupid question I ask. The bulb is in and I am in the acclimation stage now. During day 1 everything opened up and seemed to like what new light I was giving them, so far so good.
