Andy and zach I'm testing BW salt and they also sale them 300gal boxes. I order from ebay. The one thing I don't like is that the salt is in one big bag in a box that also is about 88lb. And for now BW has a sale on there salt. I htink they also got 150gal box too that they sale. So far for $$ of BW salt is lil high. The params are low here's what I got so far. I've done two water changs so far.
380ppm cal
170ppm alk
1420 mag
this is all I've tested for. so far I don't see a big change. I was use seacham reef and reefcrystale. I will keep you posted. I was going start it's own thread.
Well hope this helps a lil. If anyone has any question just pm me.
Zef, that actually sounds on the money as advertised. Keep in mind BW is giving you as true to seawater as you can get. WE pump up our parameters for optimal and not natural conditions, and many other salts like Oceanic and Reef Crystals add the additional concentrations.
I dislike have to dose my water before adding it to my tank when there is a perfectly viable candidate that I can mix and add.
For my FOWLR tank I may just try the BW as that might be better for the fish.
That is great information to have Zef...thank you!
