Intake/outlet locations of Tunze Nano Skimmer 9002

Hi,

Can anyone tell me the intake/outlet locations and flow directions of Tunze Nano Skimmer 9002.

I would like to use this skimmer in a customized tank for my drawf seahorse, but can't find any information about the locations of the intake/outlet and how the water flows through the skimmer.

In addition, any idea how does this skimmer compare to ASM mini?

Thanks for any information!

This skimmer works on closed loop, the water recirculates internally and the proteins diffuse in by osmosis. I have never used the ASm so I can't say, it beats any other small skimmer though.

Hi, Rvitko

Thanks for your reply.

But I am still confused, as the intake/outlet locations are extremely import for my custom design of drawf seahorse tank. The drawf seahorse demand a little water current and high water quality. I would prefer a good quality skimmer with less heat. The Tunze Nano skimmer 9002 fits the requirement. However, without knowing the intake/outlet, I can't design the flow (flow from intake of the skimmer to my intank refugium).

Does this skimmer have only one openning on the buttom (for both intake and outlet), or it has multiple opennings for intake and outlet (and where). From the information posted on the Tunze site. It's really hard to tell.

I do have the faith on the Tunze and it's the reason I am keeping to ask this question.

Thanks

It has no inlet or outlet, their are a couple slots on the back but the water just recirculates inside, by osmotic diffusion proteins enter the skimmer. You just need to have water passing by the unit. This design makes the skimmer safe to living plankton and is a design we pioneered 30+ years ago. They work. I know it will outperform any skimmer in its price range and several above it.
