intelligence/ interesting behavior stories

I have heard that mantises can be quite smart and show amazing behavior, i.e. moving rocks to custom build a shelter, and coming out and watching thier owner.... So how about it, Tell me the most intelligent or interesting thng your mantis has ever done.

well, not so 'inteligent', but once i went to take a picture of my mantis, put the camera right up against the glass, and he came running out of his burrow and tried to smash the camera through the glass!

.. guess he doesnt like the papparazi.

mine comes out and gets ontop of his rock thinking im going to feed him

My first one (2" green smasher) would lightly tap the glass every minute or so when I came into the room after work to let me know that he needed food or attention. Then once he noticed that I would drop his food into the current right above the heater he would start to run up the side of the tank, into the current, and land on the heater literally 1/2" from the water's surface. Not wanting to feel his business end I began feeding him from the front of the tank.

My 2nd one (2" yellow smasher) has just become sociable after adjusting to his new home.
