intensive use of Tunze combo for circulation

Roger, I'm contemplating using the strategy of a small sump return pump for a 400 gal display system (96x36x27 tall). Instead, I would depend on the intensive use of a Tunze combination of components to achieve the 30-40x turnover needed for SPS. If the sump return is at only 1000 gph, what components would be required for the desired circulation? I had planned to have two 6200 Streams, 7095 controller, and a Wavebox plus extention. However, if the Streams are alternataiong between 100% and 30%, will two Streams be sufficient? I'm not sure how to look at including the circulation effect of the Waveboxes. This might be a bit of an experiment in minimizing external pumps and plumbing in a large reef system. I don't know of many similar systems, but was very impressed with Gudmundur Geir's TOTM. Thanks.

I would probably use the exact set you mentioned. The pumps are pulsing very fast, and the idea is when you have a slow burst of water the fast burst collides with it making a broad wave with more turbulence. The flow really isn't as reduced as you might think since you are talking about usually using 2-3 seconds between speeds. I would use Interval II so the other pump is idling or pulse mode so both pumps are pulsing and really with the waveboxes the whole tank should be covered.
