Interceptor 'spectrum' safe??

I have some tabs of interceptor spectrum for large dogs. Besides the regular 23 mg of milbemycin oxime, it also contains 228 mg of praziquantel.
Has anybody used this particular type of interceptor on their sps reef?
That sounds like a lot of prazi in comparison to the amount of milbemycin oxime.
I'm not sure these are safe to use..
Any feed back would be greatly appreciated!

I used it about year ago to treat my reef tank when red bugs showed up on few of my sps. Did two treatments instead of the recommended three, but it worked and I haven't noticed any negative impacts so far.

Matt. I used some about a month ago for redbugs and it was completely reefsafe for corals and all marine life. EXEPT.. however all inverts. I ended up loosing almost all of them. Including 2 acro crabs i had, fire shrimps, and hermits. Besides that everything was perfect. Acros got color within days of first treatment. I did 2 btw. Once a week for 2 weeks. Anyways good luck brother

May be too late, but you could try an initial half dose to see if it kicks the red bugs without killing the desirable inverts.

Yep.. Too late. It's been fairly well astablished, I think that a large dog pill is for 300 gallons.
That's my system volume...
As of the morning, the acro crabs are gone. Everything alse - hermits, pistol, harlequin, peppermints (some, at least) still seem to be alive.
This may change by the end of the day or weekend.

I'm just going to throw this out there but give your shrimp and crabs some time to come to after treatment. First time I did treatment that next morning I removed all crabs and shrimp that appeared lifeless. When I treated again on another tank I left them there for most of the next day and some (not all) came back after carbon and water change. I'll also add that be prepared for some mini cycles due to die off. I know reefmutt knows what he's doing but some newb might create a bigger problem dealing with the after effects than the red bugs themselves.

Thanks! I was wondering what effect 20-40 dead crabs and shrimps would have on the system but there wasn't a mass die off..
I suspect that on smaller systems with smaller filtering capacity, this would be a bigger concern.
So far, so good in my system.

Well, the die off includes pods any little crustacean or "bug". There's a lot more in our tanks than we could ever imagine. I think the die off from that is far more harmful than a handful of shrimp and crabs. The shrimp and crabs can be removed before they ever become an issue. Glad its going good. Its very safe and I would not hesitate to treat again if I had to.

After 4 days, my hermits, emeralds, pistol and most peppermints are fine. Acro crabs are gone.. And so are the bad bugs..
I'll probably treat again next weekend.
No change in nutrient levels, yet...

Looking to try this in my 240 for vermatid snails. Which size pull should I get and how many? How often do I dose and do I just dissolve them

Those buggers a royal PAIN!
I have no idea of its effectiveness for them..
I used one large dog pill for my 300 gallon system.
