Hi, not certain whether this is the best forum for this question, but here goes. I live in the UK and have been having difficulty in getting hold of Interceptor, its prescription only and havent been able to find a vet who will "play ball". Having done a bit of research have found that the active ingredient is Milbemycin oxime and is used for treating internal worms in cats and dogs. While trawling the internet I have found that Praziquantel is also used for tapeworms in these animals and that there is also another medication which combines Milbemycin and Prazi as a broader spectrum drug for these problems. As most will be aware Prazi is used for similar internal worms, skin and gill flukes in marine fish, and commonly used as a prophylactic treatment in initial QT'ing of new fish. There are obviously similarities between these two drugs, so you have probably guessed my question. Is it possible to use Prazi as a dip for parasites on corals? Unlike Milbemycin oxime, Praziquantel is freely available in the UK. Thanks in advance for any replies. If there is a better forum for this question to be posted on I would be obliged if any mod reading this would transfer this post.
