Interested in Clam order?

I say lets see what gets uploaded on Saturday before any of us make a decision, right now there selection is limited at best

I just want to see if Wednesday would work just so that it isn't monday and I am scrambling around trying to get ahold of people to get a date setup. Just speaking hypothetically

When do you want our individual orders by and how do you want us to pay? Are non credit card paypal transactions still free?

Thanks for arranging all of this.

just saw this message on the site

"We are closed while we are loading new livestock. LOTS of AWESOME CLAMS. Please check back soon. "

I will let you know when the clams are loaded and preferably right away after they are loaded I will try to make the order so that everyone will hopefully get the clam(s) they want. Thanks, Tim

"Depending how fast we can get the pictures taken and loaded, should be up by late Friday or Sat AM." As soon as you guys decide on your clam just post the number on this thread. Still deciding on the best way to do payments. Thanks, Tim

OK this is how it is going to work. You post what clam you want on this thread. I will order the clams pay shipping and get everything setup. The order will come in to my house 4/19. Bring cash with you so that there wont be any paypal fees. If you dont show I will have your clam and will place it in my tank. Pickup time is between 3:00 and 6:00. If there are any issuse I will sort them out with you. I will PM my address to those that order. Thanks, Tim

Not sure this is going as smooth as it should fro a group buy, not really organized. Why don't we wait to the vendor postes what is forsale before having a group by on things we can see and are postive they will be there forsale.
Just a thought

I am just trying to get it setup that when you for sure know that whether or not you are getting a clam that there is a plan so that it will run smoothly from there. I didn't mean to push people one way or another just wanted to have it setup that is all. The really cool clams go fast so I wanted to make sure that people could get the clam they wanted. I am not asking to sign a contract I just letting people know how I thought that it should go. Just let me know what clam number the one you want is as soon as you know. Thanks, Tim

Can I suggest making the delivery date the day of the meeting ... Friday, April 21st? That way people won't have to drive to Hudson which, for most members, is close to the same amount of money that shipping would have cost. I am not trying to step on your toes... only suggesting a more simple approach.

If the pics will be uploaded Saturday we will have until Tues or Wed to get the order finalized then submit it after the cut-off time and schedule delivery for Friday, then you could just bring the whole box to the meeting and everyone could pay you cash. I might be in for one if they have something nice in stock this weekend.

Hope that helps,
-- Kevin

EDIT: You could also state that anyone not picking up their clams at the meeting may have theirs sold if there is someone interested there so you aren't stuck with them.

I thought about that but then the clams would be bagged and in their box for well over 24 hours. If you think that they would be OK then that sounds good to me. I just didn't want there to be a problem with the clams that people are buying. Thanks, Tim

I would rather just pick up the clam at your place if you dont mind. Im in akron which is only like 15-20 minutes from you. If maybe we could set that up would be good let me know. Cleveland is just a long drive frm here. I understand that about everyone who is in cleveland not wanting to drive down to Hudson (maybe carpool) hehe sorry I had to say that.

Wednesday worked for most people that I have heard from so I think that I will just keep it that way. Thanks for the suggestion though, Tim

I agree with Itzme, I just added up what gas would cost me to Hudson and back, not to mention a time frame of 3 to 6pm, just is not feaseable (unless work has me in the area that day and time) I think for most of us this plan is not going to work.

I think that you are the only one that didn't reply the PM I sent you everybody else said that it would work for them. I think that maybe I could bring your clam to the C-SEA meeting but I might not I will know more this weekend. Thanks, Tim

I am out of this buy, it is not going smoothly at all, the group buy Mntl did with Atlantis was the kind of buy I was hoping for here and it just is not happening, I think I will wait till Happy as a Clam has some Clams to offer (prefer aquacultured/tank raised over wild) When they do I will put a group buy together

Sorry Tim,
Didn't mean to cause trouble. I was just making a suggestion. I would still be in for one if they have something nice and if you could hold it for me until the meeting I could bring cash.

Thanks,
-- Kevin

This has been much more complicated than originally planned. It was just one thing after another that came up. Some one in Cleveland can set this up so that nobody has to do a long trek to get a clam. Thanks, Tim

Jeepman sent you a PM
