Interesting ad on CL

Any idea who this is? They claim to have over 2500 lbs of cured fiji LR for $3.80 per pound. Other than a LARGE shop who has that much?

several folks have said the rock has high ammonia. i've set up two tanks w/their rock and have some in a brute trash can right now for my 70g.

did it have high ammonia - i don't know, just part of the cycling process for me. once it was cycled i never had any issues.

I was just at Denios today and stumbled upon this place.

seems like almost all dried good/aquariums are odyssea.

but i did notice they do carry the seachem salt. didnt ask how much just because i use reef crystals and like them alot.

They had some pretty healthy looking tangs, a few yellows, hippos and sailfins.

not much for corals maybe 20 -30 and a tank with anemones, fire shrimp. etc.

I did see the bin with live rock and there was alot and seemed to have some very nice pieces

I bought about 25lbs there for my RSM. It did not have high ammonia, and didn't smell too bad. It had what I believe is green coralline algae on it, but it looks crusted and slimy, rather than crisp like purple coralline.

I've had it in my tank for a week now and seen little ammonia spike. I've not seen any hitchhikers or pods either, so I can't say if it's good or bad. I added a pound or two of really nice LR from my 55 gallon on Thursday and hope it seeds well.

I did see a number of nice corals there (mainly softies and LPS) at very reasonable prices. They also had 1 EBO 1/5 hp chiller for around $300. Seemed way too good to be true, but then I picked up a 1/5 hp JBJ Arctica off CL today that is 1 year old for $350.
