This piece is something I've had for a few years and it has an interesting growth form. The main branches have compacted tight knit corallites but the new growth branches are looser and smooth almost like a.loripes or such. It's like two corals in one so I'm rather fond of it. I always thought it was a.divaricata but now I am thinking perhaps a.tizardi or am I wrong altogether.
Please advise.

Oh wait, that is one coral? I thought that was two different ones.. then its not a A. chesterfieldnesis, but it does have that type of corallite structure.

Corals of the world vol 1 page 409...... pic #3 & 5.
I am leaning towards a.kirstyae. Any thoughts?
Here is another 2 pictures from different angles with all the lights on, that last was a bit red because of the T5 Fiji purples. sorry they a bit blurry, I shot them from too close in.

Greg, is the new growth pattern a result of the different conditions in the new tank?

No it's always done this so I don't attribute it to reticulate evolution.

wow that look's like 2 different species growing out of each other . Do you have any more side pic's ? Is that a bali aquacultured piece ?

Here is a little better shot front view & another top down. This coral looks quite different from each angle depending on how it catches the light. Oh and yes it was part of a so called "hand picked" order from Bali from a couple of years ago.
