Interesting Growth/Possible Pests

Can anyone take a look at these two pictures and ID/offer any opinion on what's in these two pictures? The one picture has a pink growth attached to the underside of a piece of live rock. If you look closely you can see the barely visible tube coming out of it (right side). They're are three of these growths. I'm thinking some sort of sponge? The other has tiny anemone like creatures growing on the LR and they've been that size for about two months. I'm assuming they are some sort of pest hitch hiker. They're spreading, but not beyond this piece of LR. I'm about to take it out of the tank to be sure, but they are 'neat' looking.... Thanks,

1st one looks like a sponge like you said.

2nd ond looks like some kind of hydroid...? I have similar ones in my tank and they never seem to harm anything. In fact, I find them pretty cool to look at through my macro lens.

Need better pic of #2.

If you don't want your whole tank to look like that rock go ahead and remove it. I know I would.

Sponge for pic #1, if you are asking about the polyps on pic 2 I would say something like clove polyps. Neither are pests, I would keep an eye on the clove though, they can multiple quickly.

I like it when i've got 'wild' invertabrates in my tank, it maes it look more realistic.
Let em be for a while, if they do multiply to quickly but you do want to keep them, i suggest moving a rock away from the other rocks.
