The asking for a lower price thing is the nature of certain stores...but, not all. I remember back at puppy center. A $20 tank, $30 tank...etc. Never thought to ask for a lower price. I knew what I had in my pocket...and which tanks could accommodate that. In Bob's store...the price question has always been the way. Even the owner before Bob used to do it. Got cash...I can do better on the price, seemed to be his motto. That is the way that store has always been run. Those of us who have shopped there forever are just used to it. That is the business model that has kept it going all these years. I think 80% of the people who shop there ask for the lower price, because we have been trained to do it by both owners. Again... nothing wrong with it, it's just the vibe of the store.
