Internal Parasite?

I have a small purple tang that i have had for about 6 weeks now and before I got him he was QT'd in copper for 1 month. I noticed last night he had white stringy like poop and they would come off and than today i noticed it again. I am worried that it might be roundworms or some sort of internal parasite. I wanted to suggestions on treatment....


I know metronidazole and Prazi are the best for internal parasite. Also I can't really go in there and catch the fish without removing all the rocks and corals. So I want to treat the food. I have Seachem meds but not the metronidazole.... I have focus and nitrofurantoin. I do however have some API General Cure from my freshwater med supplies.

1) I was wondering if anyone has used this and know the rations per pack per amont food?
2) If i order metronidazole online it will take a few days to get here. The LFS here in Phoenix, AZ that i know of don't have it. Would this be better?
3) If I use prazi, I know its not food based its mixed to the water will this harm my reef. Stupid question cause the answer is probably yes. But i have heard people have done it and its been fine. So that leads me to the second part of this question. Which Prazi is best?

Prazi-Pro can be used in the DT; only feather dusters are in danger. IMO, all fish should be treated with PP; its safe,easy, and effective.
