Introducing a Clow

Hey guys, I had two clown fish about 2 months ago. They wern't a mated pair, but very close to the same size, very small, about 1". One day randomly about 1 month ago, one was gone, I checked filters, etc, couldn't find it. There aren't any other predators in my tank. But that's not what I'm asking...

I am ready to introduce another Clown to the tank, and I am not sure the best way to do it. The surviving clown has hosted in my BTA. I don't want to introduce another clown and disrupt that relationship...

You want to add a clown smaller than your current one. Apart from that you shouldn't have too many issues. Maybe a little aggression to begin with but they should get along fine.

a smaller one should be fine...although my bigger one just killed off my smaller one and i introduced them together at the same time...they're about 1" to 1 1/2"...the bigger one was chasing the smaller one around the tank...the following night, i found the small one dead...although my yellow goby could also be the culprit...cause he was the same size as my smaller one...

oh, ok, well then, it shouldn't be difficult to get it a mate. Just make sure its smaller than the one you have. Ask the people at the lfs to feed it first. If it aggressively goes after food buy it. If it doesn't want food then don't buy it... because that means its sick or has other problems.
