Introducing Halides

Hi all,

I am in the process of building a hood for new Halides which will replace my current PC's. My questin: the best way to introduce them? I know I need to get the tank mates ( softies and SPS) acclimated to the new lights. Is there some type of material I can place between new bulbs and tank to reduce potency to be weaned up?

Here is what I have:
75g 48" tank with 210W PC's ( 50% 10K and 50% Actinic)

New lights:

two 175W 10K Halides
will use the 110W of Actinics with them fro the old set-up.

I've always been told the black screening you use on patio sliders or something similar, works well. You can pick up a roll of it at HD, and cut it to your specs. Probably have to tape it to the glass, or better yet, put some egg crate down first, then lay the screening on top. Use a few layers, and every other day, take a layer off.
