Looking good. Only suggestion is check your flow. That power head looks to be pointing up. You need flow on the substrate to prevent detritus build up.

Excellent aquascape as well!

I have always used two power heads both pointed in an angle to the top of the water to create a water circular motion. Reflects of the top to the glass to the sand

Thanks for the comment and suggestion guys.

@Rob...I have a Jebao PP4 coming this week. I will move one of the PH downward and check the flow.

@civicman...yeap, the water line is now higher than the canopy.

Nice! Love that slope peice. Thoughts for moving forward?

I'm not sure. To be honest, I don't even know which is SPS and which is LPS :). I bought an acan and a blasto for $10 each. I also bought a green tip hammer and the red monti for $12.50 each. I will take pictures once my tank is cleared of algae and cyano. My tank is under attack...LOL

Nice looking tank. With the rocks being so close to the side glass, it will be difficult to clean the glass. I've also preferred to wait until the initial algae blooms start to subside before adding and SPS or LPS coral. The reason being is if there are any weak spots, the algae can quickly grow on the exposed skeleton of the coral, and it will be very difficult for it to heal. Also algae can smother them. With some husbandry it can be done successfully, but just takes more persistence. I've had the most issue with cyano smothering my birdsnest. Birdsnests can be sensitive to cyano though.

Welcome to the saltwater world! be careful, it's very addicting. Especially once you start adding coral IMO. When I started, I though to myself "I don't think I'd even want coral. I don't think it would be worth the work for how much they add to the tank". 6 months later I went to my first frag swap and got my first (6) coral frags. Fast forward 3 years and I've got a tank full of all sorts of coral.
