Introducing new anemone to old clowns?

Hey guys, so I have 2 Occelaris Clowns, my tank is about 6 months old, tank is getting stable, and I decided to buy a rose bubble tip nem. I was just wondering about introducing a new nem, to clowns who have been in the tank for 4+ months? Will they even host a nem that is new to the tank? or do you have to have the nem first, and then the clowns? Any experience you have had with this or knowledge, please share with me! The nem should be here tomorrow.

No particular order is required. I would however say you are a bit disadvantaged when adding the anemone later, as the clowns will have already established a territory that may not be close to where the anemone sets up. Also, you will have an uphill climb with a BTA, as they are not naturally hosts to ocellaris. That is not to say that they will not bond, but IME, your chances of success are far lower than if you used a natural host.

With a bta it is all up to chance but if you were to add their natural host anemone im willing to bet they go right in. Keep in mind their natural host anemones are alot harder to keep than a bta

do you have any corals like hammers or pulsin xenia? i only ask because my clarkii's are heart set that they are anemones and host them, it can be a good indicator if they will host or not.with bta's there's a chance that they will, i doubt they will have much of an objection to a bta but they may surprise you. how big are the clowns compaired to the bta, mine have had a tendancy to "love it" to death

Nope, I only have an lps, and a zoa polyp. So far, theyve been in the tank about 4 months, and swim around the whole tank freely. No sign of them hosting anything, or any particular section of the tank, which got me to thinking, maybe what they need is a nem? The clowns are only 1 inch to 2 inches, so pretty small.
