IO Mixing problem

Opened a new bucket of IO salt. The salt is mixing super cloudy, completely different then it has mixed for the many years i have used it. Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem with io . Should i return it to the lfs. Funny thing is for the last few years i would get my salt from Tony reef exotics and the salt has been great. Was in a pinch so i went to pets warehouse to get some, and this stuff is not mixing properly. Should i be surprised?

Check the Chemistry forum, many threads about this problem, but I thought the problem was solved. Check the Ca, and more importantly, the Alk of that water before you think about using it.

reports of bad batches is common, I noticed this before as well but thought it was probably old stock or a bad seal that salt got some moisture to it. also check your mixing container Mike, it might need some cleaning/rinsing

To the best of my recollection, the consistent advice was not to use it.

Thanks guys, just returned it to pw for a new bucket. New stuff mixed up fine. I dumped 15 mixed gals. Each bucket had the white powder on the bottom. Definately a bad batch. Wonder what the stuff was?
