Iphone 4 and aquanotes

So I bought a Iphone yesterday and I have been trying to setup the aquanotes app with the apex. I have it working with wifi in the house. I can also access it through safari using a dyndns site, but I can't get it to work would just the app outside of the house. For IP/host do I put my Dyndns web address or what IP do I use?
