iPhone App

<b>Please be aware that you will need to install the beta firmware to use it. If you have not, do not install it as it will not work with the older AquaController firmware.<b>

Is there an easy way to uninstall or revert to the previous version? I unintentionally installed the new version. I'm a little reluctant to try the beta version and I'm on a Mac which makes updating a little tougher.

I've got a lot of money in my tank how reliable is the beta version, where do I find it, and if it's not reliable how do I revert to the previous iPhone version?

you need the beta firmware. Its pretty stable, I run it on my tank with no problems, check the related thread here -- but no warranty of course ;) Or you can wait for the final firmware version to be posted. There is no way to revert to 1.x of AquaNotes, unfortunately the App Store doesn't have this feature.

Hey Zigzag,

Why can't I install ver 2.0 with iphone v.2.2? Must it have to use 2.2.1? I have some technical reason not to upgrade to 2.2.1.....

Both the new iphone app, and new AC3 firmware are great. The app runs great on iphone os 3.0 as well. Good work Neptune and ZigZag.

Wow.. Are you an apple beta developer? How did you get hold of a copy of the 3.0?

Yes, I am in the 3.0 beta. If you need help getting around your technical issue shoot me a PM. I might be able to help.

For those of you who updated the AquaNotes APP only to discover that you had to upgrade the firmware, there is a way to get back to the earlier version of the iphone APP. I deleted the app from my iphone and then did a sync of all apps in itunes. itunes reloaded the earlier version of the iphone APP. Hope it works for you.

zigzag,
i'm not sure just how much IT infrastructure you want to handle (i assume none), but i'm getting some very cool ideas just sitting and thinking about how aquanotes can use push notifications with the new iPhone OS. as if email alerts weren't fast enough :)

ebe: Make sure you have log data available?

herozero: Yeah, i'm looking into it. The app is already buildable for 3.0 with various 3.0-only improvements, but of course you can't see these yet as 3.0 hasn't been released yet. Feel free to PM those ideas.

If I log in via a web browser I see the graphs and datalog. Do I have to do something else?

Nope. Are you giving it enough time to load? Are you using the new 2.0 version of AquaNotes with the new ACIII/Pro firmware?

ACIII SW Version 3.40S_4F09 HW Version 1.0

I can drag the line left and right like the webpage graph, I just don't see the graph. Everything else seems to be working.

I am with the _4F09 HW, upgrade to the new APP and I did update to 2.2.1 .I can see that the iphone connect to the AC3 (via port 23) but I cannot see any data. I can see all the titles of all parameters, green light is on i.e , probes and control , and also all the rest but it looks like it do not downloading anything

Using both but the data is removed by Aquanotes. So, there is no graphs with the iPod/iPhone applet. Is there future plans to get the data from Aquanotes?
