is a 6205 too much for 48" tank?

i have a 48x30 pennisula style, with 2 mp40's on the overflow side and want to add more flow, thinking of adding a 6205... would that be overkill? would a 6105 w 6205 front cover be better?

It would be a lot of flow, especially for softies and LPS. I might even consider just a wavebox as the only other addition.
