Is an abalone reef safe?

I have noticed a few, I think 5 of these in my tank. There are 4 black and 1 brown abalone. They have grown slightly since this pic. I have seen them spawning, well releasing a milky substance in the water, they all do it at the same time even across the tank.

I'm just curious if they are reef safe? Is there anything I should be aware of when keeping abalone, aside from them just getting huge over time?

Thanks
John

Abalone or stomatella? Stomatellas have 2 long antennae, and puff when breeding. Nice creatures. Reefsafe.

I have a few stray ones in my tank.... actually they were all eaten recently but I dont know who ate them. I would assume they are reef safe since my reef doesnt seem to be hindered by them.

I realize that is a poor picture as its obscured a little. I'll see if I can get a better one in the future.
After google searching it, I don't think its a stomatella, it appears to have the holes in the shell like an abalone, maybe if they grow a little bigger I can find out.
Thanks for the input,
John
