Is anemone right for me?

My clarkii clowns are trying to host in my candy cane, but the candy cane is not happy. I had a sebae anemone about 3 months ago but only lasted a week before parishing. Im not sure why, but my parameters are spot on and had what I believe adequate lighting. At the time I had a 150MH 20k, now I have a DIY LEDs. So I want to get another anemone, but dont want to risk it. Your thoughts.. The tank has been up and running for 8 months.

Your tank was too young last time your nem died. You should be ok with trying a new nem. 6 months or more is a decent age for trying a nem. Why not try a bta or try the same one as last time.

I think nems take a bigger beating than fish or corals when it comes to transport and shipping. If you get one from your LFS, have it put in a tank by itself and watch it get fed. Ask the LFS to hold it for a week and see that it does OK. Whip316 is right about your tank probably not being mature enough at 4-5 months old. Even now at 8 months you are just getting into a range I would consider better for anemone survival. How big is your tank?

Yea try a bta they are much hardier and clones can be had. Problem with anemones is getting them in good shape. Most lfs dont know how to handle them by me and most are kept under lighting they should not be kept under.
