Hi
I have Grape Racemosa Caulerpa, and some other type of i guess caulerpa,it looks like it has suction cups all over it.Anyways it grwoing like crazy in my sump and ive read a couple post about people saying dont use caulerpa.Should i get rid of this?whats the best type of macro for your sump?
thanks

Caulerpa is fine for the sump, or a display dedicated to it. One of the issues keeping it in your sump might be a toxin released by caulerpa, this can be combatted with carbon use.

thanks guys
what do you mean bye prune it? do you mena just grab it up cut some off or is there a certain way of doing it?
thanks

When removing it you should try to damage it as little as possible. Dont just rip out a chunk remove it in as large of an intact piece as possible.

oops to late, lol well i didnt rip it out,but i think i could have been more delicate.i just took scissors and cut it in have it was like a brick i hate to throw it awys cus i know its full of pods.Actually i put it in my hospital tank :) know any good tricks for getting pods out of that??
thanks

You can spend bunch of time picking them out like I do. Here's the results of one pruning event.

Thats out of my cheato BTW, my caulerpa doesnt hold nearly as many critters. I would just give it a good shake either in a seperate container with tank water or in the fuge.
