Is everyone ok after the quake?

Damn, that's too bad about the napa store

On a good note the rice on my apex display worked!!! It's back to normal

But for how long? Hopefully the salt crystals won't destroy it after all... Good luck!

It would be interesting if you could actually rinse it. Wonder what Neptune would say about that.

Months ago my wife knocked an Eheim auto feeder into the tank. I rinsed it in FW and let it dry. It works, sort of... :uhoh2:

My question would be how did our local fish stores do? I know fish pro's runs a majority of acrylic tanks but Caesar's has a majority of glass. Wondering if any damages occurred?

I'm gonna stop by Cesar's tomorrow and see how they survived, fish pros did fine, they had water slosh out of their rimless tanks but no damage

For whatever reason the quake caused my float valve for my ATO to get stuck on. My ATO pumped about 8 gallons of kalk water into my sump. Ph spiked, alk spiked, ca spiked, etc. I'm waiting to see how my corals fair.

Oh man that sucks. Hope everything works out ok for you.

Booo! That's not good.

What's your ATO?

How much of a pH spike did you get?

Do you have a controller?

It's a JBJ ATO. Soon to be replaced! My tank is controlled with an apex, but my ATO is seperate. According to my apex my ph jumped from 8.0 to 8.4.

That doesn't seem too bad. How fast was the pH change?

You might consider putting a pH alert on and a pH limit on the outlet for the ATO (assuming you have the ATO powered by the Apex EB8).
