Hey guys, I just found out today that The Discovery Channel is doing there Dirty Jobs show on well drilling tonight. They are doing it in TN with Watsons Drilling Company. So if you want to see basically what I do tune in at 8:00.

Just saw the previews and they are doing geothermal drilling which we don't do but it is basically the same thing as drilling a water well.

dont think mine will ever make it on there.. Nothing to dirty about sitting at a computer all day. Unless you turn off the lights.. lol

Depends on where you surf.

I watched some guys get in and pump/clean/unclog my grandparents septic tank last year. No gloves, right in they went. Ohhh yuck. I know that job has made the show!

I like that show. He is a good entertainer. I have witnessed that before. Very Clean... Maybe for a pig that is trying to stay cool in July. Thanks for having a job that society entertains themselves about :)

my old profession was on there as well, a plumber (well i was a wholesaler for parts and did select jobs on the side $$) but you do the math. ive seen horrendous things. in that episode mike rowe was pretty grossed out but, i think he got off easy in his particular pumbing endeavor :) <~~~steve

Yeah, my job is on there too... Most of my family appreciates what I do a bit more now though... lol :D

 I love your job description Randy! Very true! The barn my little girl takes lessons at is SWANKY and crawling with wives with lots of money and time on there hands so why not get into horses. What better way to drop a ton of cash on a hobby. We just think reefin is expensive. The pony they had Claudia on the other day was $20,000 and that was just because he would ocasionally refuse a jump. He would be 40K if he didn't have that little qwirk. This is for a PONY. I was amazed at the prices horses in that barn were worth. All for the misses to have something to do during the day.

Yeah... It kills me when I work on horses that are worth more than my house, truck, or both... I did a pony today worth 45K... The most expensive horse I've done made it to the Olympic Prequals back in 2004... Just a mere 720k... lol :D

I was glad to see zoo keeper on one show but all the guy did was drive a truck around picking up the trashcans of pooh. This really is not the same as picking it up yourself.

One day in the elephant yard some new dad kept cracking jokes about all of the waste etc and how terrible it must be to deal with it all. Think F150 emptied twice daily. I finally got tired of it and told him, "At least when I handle the waste I have leather gloves, rubber boots, a shovel and a wheel barrow. What do you use? A wet paper wipe. He shut up and walked away quietly.
