What is this white thing with tentacles is it a worm? Beneficial? Pest?

It looks like some sort of odd sponge, perhaps.
More info needed. Does it move at all? Does it retract if nudged? Is it hard/stiff/bendy/soft/floppy/some combination of the five? Does it grow? Is that area usually shaded?

Haven't seen it move stiff but soft I've only seen it for a couple of days there are two different ones I thinly it is growing and they are kinda under rocks so yes in a shaded area

Sponges, yes. Perfectly harmless things that really don't do anything but exist. You can ignore them.
