We can still order croceas out of vietnam it is only limited to 15cm or larger. These are typically not as colorful and much more expensive (after a few years colors will get better I assume since the real gems were being taken small.) I was ordering a large direct order and was cut off a month ago. My trip to LA wholeslaers was eye opening no croceas in sight. Supply and demand is 100% correct. I am awaiting the price list on the large clams but i expect a hike.

BTW the law in Vietnam always banned smalls apparently, it was just not being enforced but now the USFWS is getting strict on enforcement of the laws. Vietnam will have to change laws to fix this.

i just got a crocea about 3 inches for $90.00 seems high to me but the only one i found close to me and it is my first one so i never really paid attention to prices at other places

i just bought a super colored crocea at 3" for $40. Im happy

sure there is, the larger stores in toronto when they get there big 400pc shipments often have 4" croceas for $40-80 maximas $60-120
