Is it me or my camera?

Slave to the reef!
I have a Kodak Easyshare DX4530, i know nothing about photography, i have gotten a few nice shots with this camera but nothing even close to some of the professional pics i see here.

I have tried different expoure levels as well as shutter speeds, im kinda thinking this camera is kinda low budget.

Anyone have any thoughts on these cameras?

Hi-
That model does limit what you can do in terms of adjusting things to make your pictures turn out the way you want them to. No white balance options aside from auto is a biggie considering the extreme lighting we have on our tanks. Limited iso range, no aperture or shutter speed priorities- it'll make things tough on you that's for sure.

Im thinking about selling it and getting something else, what a decent camera in the $300 range?

So im gonna sell the kodak and get a Canon A610, i found one pretty cheap, i am also ordering extra batteris and charger.

It's gonna be $263 shipped, not a bad deal at all......

waverz -- so did you not go with the place you posted above???

Nope not after reading all those bad posts...decided it would be worth the extra $19 to buy from a reliable source.

Ive tried to be a cheapskate on stuff before, it never pays.

Well, I dunno if this will help or not, but here's some lessons that may improve your photos:
