Is it possible to train flexible pvc?

OK so I know I'm asking for it with this question. I've already tried the obvious - repeatedly telling it to roll over while showing it what I want it to do - but that didn't work. Offering it tasty treats didn't help matters either.

I need it to hold a curve with a slightly smaller radius then what it came with but well withing the radius specified on the labeling. I need it to do this naturally because it will torque my bulkhead otherwise and I don't have room for a clamp to help hold it. The alternative is using a combination of rigid fittings and flexible pipe but I wanted to explore this before admitting defeat.

I've also tried blowing heat from a heat gun through the pipe for a minute or so then shaping it. I didn't want to apply the heat too long. This definitely made the pipe more flexible but it seemed to cool into the same shape it was originally.

Heat it with the heat gun till you can hardly handle it, but before you char the ends. Blow inside and outside. Bend it slightly past where you want it to end up and hold it until it cools. Or if you're good glue it up while it's still hot and it'll hold with no stress on the bulkheads or fittings.

+1 to heat. If you have a nice dark freshly sealed blacktop driveway you can just leave the stuff on the driveway on a sunny day and it'll get plenty soft enough. Then just hold tighter than you want it until it cools.

Depending on how big of a piece, you can take some string and run it through and tie it off to hold it's shape while you heat it up. The tube has memory, so you need to have both the inside and outside worked to the shape you need.

I used a heat gun last night and it seemed to much closer to what I wanted and isn't torquing the bulkhead like it would have been had I just connected it. Thanks.
