Is it possible?

I'm not at the livestock purchasing stage yet but I was perusing the liveaquaria.com site and found this:

Is it possible that these mushrooms are really as bright red as they look in the picture? Or is the buyer in for a Photoshop snooker?

I definitly think it is true that they are that red, but lighting also plays a part on the color hue of them. They might not look as vibrant under your lighting or they could look better. Everytime I have ordered anything from them, I get exactly what was pictured and the coral or mushroom rock is generously covered.

They are very expensive. Color is hard to interpret in web shots, since screens are calibrated differently and lighting is interpreted very differently by the eye, as compared to the camera.

Yeah I guess $89 for a 6 1/2 inch piece of rock with a few mushrooms on it is pretty up there.

Still...strangely...mesmerized..by..red...color...

can't...stop...looking

must...keep...hand...away...from...wallet...
